A hostess or host invites a specific number of friends, neighbors, or co-workers over for a party. The party can be fully paid by the hostess or host, or the attendees each pay a fee, for an afternoon or evening of psychic entertainment.

In event where the attendees each pay their own fee. A commission will also be given to the hostess or host, which can also means that his or her attendance is free of charge. A rough estimation of cost per head is about $25 - $30 with a minimum head count of 10.

An event like that should last for about 45mins to 1hour.
